Asking Questions

Not every bride can do-it-herself nor has the time. It is very likely that at some point, you will have to hire outside help. The biggest mistakes a bride can make is to forget to ask questions. This is not the time to be nice. This is time to be bridezilla on steroids. Now being bridezilla does not mean that you have to be the other b-word, if you know what I mean. Just be tough, assertive yet nice. This will get them to respect you and make them less likely to want to pull one over on you. And I emphasize less likely because some are bold enough to try despite your assertive demeanor.

You must ask a lot of questions, because hiring a good wedding professional is vital to your money being well spent. Now, we don’t want wedding professionals in the poor house, but at the same time, if they are too high for their level of expertise and service, there is nothing wrong with looking the other way.
Bad signs:

If you ask a question and they start with the hmming and hawwing, you may need to look elsewhere. You don’t demand perfection, just answers. Which emphasizes the importance of starting early.
If they change the subject to the weather or some off-topic
If they have to get back with you on simple questions
